Jean-Marc Caimi e Valentina Piccinni formano un duo di fotografi documentaristi di rilievo internazionale.
Il loro lavoro indaga le relazioni in trasformazione tra l’essere umano e i mutamenti socio-politici e ambientali. Unendo approccio documentario e linguaggio visivo personale, costruiscono narrazioni stratificate e multimediali. La loro pratica immersiva li porta spesso a vivere all’interno delle comunità che fotografano, creando connessioni profonde e una narrazione intima e autentica.

I loro progetti sono regolarmente pubblicati dalle più importanti testate internazionali e hanno ricevuto diversi riconoscimenti tra cui il Sony World Photography Award, l’Earth Photo Award e il PH Museum of Humanity Grant. Hanno esposto in Europa e in Asia e pubblicato sette libri di cui il più recente “Fastidiosa”, sull’epidemia vegetale che sta distruggendo gli ulivi in Puglia.

BIO
Jean-Marc Caimi and Valentina Piccinni form an internationally recognized documentary photography duo.
Their work explores the evolving relationships between humans and the socio-political and environmental changes around them. Combining a documentary approach with a personal visual language, they create layered, multimedia narratives. Their immersive practice often involves living within the communities they photograph, fostering deep connections and intimate, authentic storytelling.
Their projects are regularly published by leading international media and have received several awards, including the Sony World Photography Award, the Earth Photo Award, and the PH Museum of Humanity Grant. They have exhibited across Europe and Asia and published seven books, most recently “Fastidiosa”, which documents the plant epidemic devastating olive trees in Puglia.
