SECRET GARDENS
GIARDINI SEGRETI

In essa è pregnante l’elemento acqua.

The extracts from the six works – Future Memories (2020), Beginnings (2014/2015), Origins (2015), Unstill Life (2015), Danube (2012) and Future Memories (2010) – by the artist Catherine Nelson encapsulate her entire visual exploration. The element of water is a central feature of this work.
She chooses not to depict pure reality but to transcend it, in order to convey her inner, personal landscape. In these surreal and poetic visions – born of meticulous collage and image manipulation, with strong references to painting – nature becomes a subject of contemplation and, at the same time, a reminder of the fragility and transience of the present.
