THE PLACE WHERE SILENCE BEGINS
QUI COMINCIA IL SILENZIO
L’artista esplora il rapporto tra il corpo, l’acqua e la memoria attraverso tre serie fotografiche: Ogni agosto, Danza miope in bn e Danza miope cyano. Tre modi diversi di raccontare una stessa esperienza: quella di lasciarsi andare, immergersi e, nel silenzio dell’acqua, in una sorta di purificazione, ritrovare un contatto più profondo con sé stessi Sono momenti diversi di uno stesso viaggio: il tuffo, il movimento nell’acqua e la sua trasformazione in memoria ed identità. In questo percorso, il mare si fa spazio intimo, mentre le figure umane affiorano così come affiorano i ricordi.
The artist explores the relationship between the body, water and memory through three photographic series: Every August, Myopic Dance in black and white, and Myopic Dance in cyan. Three different ways of recounting the same experience: that of letting go, immersing oneself and, in the silence of the water, in a sort of purification, rediscovering a deeper connection with oneself. These are different moments in the same journey: the plunge, the movement through the water and its transformation into memory and identity. In this journey, the sea becomes an intimate space, whilst human figures emerge just as memories do.

Annalaura Tamburrini (Fasano, 1994)
A photographer and visual artist specializing in analog photography and historical printing processes. Memory, identity, and meditation are the key concepts of her artistic research. She lives in Turin; since 2025, she has been represented by the contemporary art gallery Crumb Gallery in Florence.
